Rota–Lok
The Rota-Lok comprises a wide central scaffold which tapers to a dense thin cord at each end. The flat, open mesh scaffold is 120mm long and 10mm wide. This bridges the gap between the torn rotator cuff and humeral head. It has an overall length of 500mm.
Indications
The Rota-Lok is indicated for reconstruction of chronic massive, full thickness rotator cuff tears.
Features and benefits
- The continuous longitudinal yarns of the device provide it with sufficient strength to allow early mobilization
- The flat central open-weave section acts as a scaffold that encourages tissue ingrowth, thus expediting healing in the region of tear
- This open weave section also provides resistance to cutting through tissue, so allowing tensioning of the tissue when pulling the tissue towards its site of attachment to bone
- Both ends of the device taper into a strong, thin cord with sealed tips, thus allowing easy passage through soft tissue and bone tunnels
- The undulating structure of the thin cord ensures both a secure and small knot
